Austin Wedding at the Prospect House

Wedding at the Prospect House

Anyone who has ever ventured out into the Texas Hill Country knows that it is a beautiful place. It’s a great location to hold a summer wedding, and the last couple we worked with did just that at the Prospect House. Located in Dripping Springs, it is a modern event space with a unique architectural design. The large windows allow a ton of natural light to flow throughout the space, casting shadows on the white interiors. Prospect House’s simplistic beauty really catches the attention of guests, especially those with an appreciation for minimalistic design. However, it’s not just the inside that has a striking appearance. In the hill country, all you need for a gorgeous venue is the natural scenery it provides. With breathtaking views in the distance, the simple white frame adorned with flowers served as a perfect backdrop for this past weekend’s ceremony.

After a nice and peaceful ceremony outdoors, everyone gathered into the reception space to celebrate the newlyweds. With the way the Prospect House is designed, less is usually more when it comes to décor. Long, wooden family-style tables were adorned with beautiful pink and white floral, and small tea light candles. It brought life and cheerfulness into the building while still keeping the simple style the bride and groom adore. Every wedding has a special personal touch that makes it stand out from the others. In this case, it was the Texas theme that was so diligently incorporated into the day. From the food and drinks to the photo booth – the added charm of the Lone Star State was a great idea that really portrayed the couple.

If the themed photo booth, tasty Tex-Mex cuisine, and signature cocktails didn’t already make a statement for this fun group of people… the dancing definitely did. The floor was always full of friends and family dancing the night away. The energy remained high and positive throughout the entire night, which is a true sentiment to the day’s success. Once the night eventually began to wind down, guests took their succulent wedding favors and sent the couple on their way through a tunnel of sparklers. It was a true Texas wedding, and it’s one that people will remember for years to come.

Lastly, we just want to recognize the great team of vendors that worked so hard to make this couple’s wedding day so special.
